How to Craft a Proposal to a Foundation

 

New to the Nonprofit world? New to your position? This training will provide you with sensible guidelines and procedures to guide you through the nuances of operating in this new world of work. This training is an essential foundation if you want to ensure your success or the success of  your new staff.

 

Any new position has its challenges. You must interact with all levels of employees from office colleagues to the Executive Director of the organization. There are workplace rules to follow and many times you have to check your attitude at the door.  This training is designed to help you understand the nuances of communication within the work environment so that you can develop and grow within your new position. 

 

This training will focus on the following specific areas:

 

  • Active Listening Techniques
  • Giving and Receiving Feedback
  • Recognizing Body Language – yours and theirs
  • Written Communication – writing effectively
  • Presentation Skills – Assessing your audience and presentation style
  • Communication Skills to use with Management and Clients
  • Managing Workplace Expectations

Training will be interactive and hands-on with attendees participating in different activities, as well as some lecture.

Carol is recognized as an outstanding Human Resource Generalist with an expertise in Compensation, Training and Organizational Development, Coaching and Employee Relations. She has diverse industry experience in Manufacturing, Not-for-Profit Organizations, Healthcare, Real Estate, Public Accounting and Financial Services. She is known for her ability to work with client companies to create an efficient Human Resource Department and provide ongoing strategic Leadership coaching. She is an acknowledged career counselor.  Additionally, her strength is in Compensation for small to medium size companies.
