Strengthening Communication: Active Listening & Writing Skills

Listening and writing skills are vital skills you must obtain in order to become an effective employee.  How well you listen and exchange information has an impact on expected outcomes -  including on the quality of your relationships with others. This training is designed to help you improve productivity, as well as your ability to influence and give directives.  Most importantly, it will help you avoid conflict and misunderstandings in the workplace.


Presenter Information:

Cheryl A. Chester Cheryl has developed her more than 25-year career as a human resources professional, focused in the areas of leadership and organizational development.  She has provided thought leadership to senior leaders in implemented major change initiatives and has assisted with implementing business-focused development solutions.  Additionally, she has held leadership and organizational development positions in many sectors including financial services, utilities, manufacturing and not-for-profit and is currently providing consulting to a variety of clients.  Cheryl has a MS degree in Human Resources from SUNY Albany and a BS degree in Music from Nazareth College in Rochester, New York.
