BOUNDARIES IN THE WORKPLACE 12/9/14

Professional boundaries are not something you can see, but typically you know when your boundaries have been overstepped. This course helps define professional and interpersonal boundaries and provide strategies including establishing clear norms and developing communication skills to more effectively manage boundaries with your direct reports and colleagues in the workplace.

(We are on the corner of Charter Oak Avenue and Wyllys Street. If you are using GPS, type the address as 146 Wyllys Street, Hartford, CT 06106.)

From I-91 North:

Take EXIT 29A on the left toward the Capitol Area

Take the Columbus Blvd. ramp toward the Convention Center

Turn left onto Columbus Blvd.

Columbus Blvd. becomes Wyllys St. Our campus is at the corner of Charter Oak and Wyllys. Do not make the turn onto Charter Oak Avenue. Instead, continue on Wyllys Street, past Building Two and enter the back parking lot through the wrought iron gate on the right.

CT Nonprofits is in Building One.

 

From I-91 South:

Merge onto State St via EXIT 31

Turn left onto Columbus Blvd.

Columbus Blvd. becomes Wyllys St. Our campus is at the corner of Charter Oak and Wyllys. Do not make the turn onto Charter Oak Avenue. Instead, continue on Wyllys Street, past Building Two and enter the back parking lot through the wrought iron gate on the right.

CT Nonprofits is in Building One.

 

From I-84 West:

Merge onto CT-2 W via EXIT 54 on the left toward Downtown Hartford.

CT-2 W becomes Founders Bridge.

Founders Bridge becomes State St.

Turn left onto Columbus Blvd.

Columbus Blvd. becomes Wyllys St. Our campus is at the corner of Charter Oak and Wyllys. Do not make the turn onto Charter Oak Avenue. Instead, continue on Wyllys Street, past Building Two and enter the back parking lot through the wrought iron gate on the right.

CT Nonprofits is in Building One.

 

From I-84 East:

Merge onto I-91 S via EXIT 52 toward New Haven. Follow directions from I-91 South.

 

Parking Options

 

· Street Parking – There is 3 hour parking available on both sides of Wyllys Street parallel to our office.

· Front Parking Lot – You are welcome to park in any space that is not reserved or you may park in the visitor parking spots, which face the building. You can ignore the 60 minute parking limit.

· Large Back Parking Lot– Our back parking lot is the most spacious and best option. Follow the iron gate on Wyllys Streetpast building 1, the front parking lot and building 2 (all on your right). As you pass the second building of our campus you will see a large fenced in back lot. Continue approximately 100 feet and take a right into the parking lot entrance. You can park in any space in the back.

 

Alternative Directions:

To avoid the downtown exit (our new offices are located 2 miles from our old office):

 

· From 91 N: Take exit 27, take a left at the light onto Brainard Road, follow Brainard Road (turns into Maxim Road)

· At the light after Clean Energy, take a left onto Reserve Road

· At the fork in the road, bear right (through the stop sign and over the rail roadtracks) onto Van Dyke Ave

· At the first traffic light take a left onto Wyllys Street

·Follow parking instructions above

 

· From 91 South: Take exit 27 andtake a left off the exit onto Airport Road

· At the traffic light take a left onto Brainard/Maxim Road

· At the light after Clean Energy, take a left onto Reserve Road

· At the fork in the road, bear right (through the stop sign and over the rail roadtracks) onto Van Dyke Ave

· At the first traffic light take a left onto Wyllys Street

· Follow parking instructions above

 

A few things to remember:

• Substitutions are welcome.

• Light refreshments will be provided.

• Temperatures vary - layers are recommended for those who are temperature sensitive.

 

WEATHER POLICY: In the event of any inclement weather, please callCT Association of Nonprofits at (860) 525-5080 and select option 5 to determine if your training will be held.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations must be made via email to Patrick McKenna at pmckenna@ctnonprofits.org at least 7 calendar days before the workshop. If you cancel up to7 calendar days before the workshop, we will provide a credit or refund. If you cancel inless than7 calendardays, you will still be responsible for payment.Phone calls are not acceptable. Substitutions are welcome.
