In this presentation, you will learn the detailed steps that comprise the major gift process: identify, cultivate, solicit, close and steward individual and family major gift donors. You will learn what motivates donors to make major gifts and how to approach family foundations.
We will specifically cover suggested language to use when asking for an appointment, for a gift, as well as responding to a variety of donor responses.

Sarah Shrewsbury has over two decades of experience, personally raising tens of millions of dollars for nationally recognized nonprofits from individuals and family foundations. She was a Major Gift Development Officer with Yale University (13 years), Mystic Seaport, The Nature Conservancy of CT, and AmeriCares.
