A light breakfast and lunch will be provided.
The one-day Session will be provided by Carrie Hobbs Guiden, Executive Director of The Arc Tennessee. Topics to include:
1. Tennessee’s new Employment and Community First (ECF) CHOICES Waiver – this new waiver will provide LTSS for people with intellectual disability and people with developmental disabilities other than intellectual disability; it launched on July 1, 2016 and provides three levels of benefits packages for eligible members; administered through our Bureau of TennCare (Medicaid) and managed by three private MCOs (BCBS, Amerigroup. United HealthCare
2. Tennessee’s HCBS approved Transition Plan to satisfy the new CMS Community Settings Rule – Tennessee’s Transition Plan was developed with significant input from stakeholders
3. Tennessee’s move toward an outcomes based payment model for LTSS – Tennessee has already implemented an outcomes based payment system for nursing home and TennCare is currently working on a similar model for HCBS with significant involvement from stakeholders
We have invited Acting Commissioner Scheff, DDS, as well as representatives from DSS, so that they will have the opportunity to experience the information first hand. This session will provide critical perspective as we work to strengthen the System of Services in Connecticut for individuals with I/DD.
