This training will focus upon the changes and updates in the DSM-5 related to the Depressive and Bipolar Disorders. It will cover each of the disorders in these sections and provide participants with a working knowledge and application of the diagnostic criteria. DSM-5: Depressive and Bipolar Disorders

 

Description:

This training will focus upon the changes and updates in the DSM-5 related to the Depressive and Bipolar Disorders. It will cover each of the disorders in these sections and provide participants with a working knowledge and application of the diagnostic criteria. Best practice models of treatment interventions and a review of current medications will be covered using case studies and video vignettes.

 

Educational Objectives:

In this training participants will:

1. Review the diagnostic criteria for the depressive and bipolar disorders.

2. Overview the best practice models for their treatment.

3. Discuss the current medications to assist in stabilizing diagnostic symptoms.

 

This program has been approved for Continuing Education Credit Hours by the National Association of Social Workers, CT and meets the continuing education criteria for CT Social Work Licensure renewal.


Attendees will be eligible for 5 CEC (Continuing Education Credits) credit hours.

Payment is due in full upon registration and enrollment will not be guaranteed until payment is received.

 

Refund Policy:

Once registered, you may request a full refund, or request your registration be transferred to another future training, up until 2 weeks before the date of the training. Within the 2 weeks prior to the training, we cannot process refunds or offer credit toward a future training, however you may substitute another attendee in your place at any time.

 

Lunch is not provided, but there will be an hour break for lunch with plenty of restaurant options nearby our Hartford office.
