Topic Summary:

During times of high emotion and uncertainty, it can be difficult to effectively process and manage the range of feelings we may experience.  Discussing these challenging feelings and experiences with colleagues, staff members, and/or those in our communities can create additional stress and anxiety.  This webinar will normalize these experiences and will provide specific strategies and techniques that can be used by individuals to support themselves.  It will also provide strategies for approaching conversations with others from a vulnerable yet courageous perspective.

 

Learning Objectives:

Participants will:

  • Learn to identify and deepen personal understanding of a range of emotional states
  • Practice mindfulness methods for staying present with feelings, even ones that are uncomfortable
  • Address how concepts such as adaptation and equilibrium can support individuals, teams, and organizations through challenging times
  • Learn the elements of courageous conversations and practice this approach
  • Discuss how self-compassion can lead to inspired action

 

Presenter Information:

 

Alicia Davis, PCC, is a Professional Certified Coach, former CT Licensed Massage Therapist and owner/partner in the coaching firm Transformative Leadership Strategies. She brings over 30 years of leadership development experience in the fields of holistic healthcare, social services and behavioral health non-profits, insurance, engineering and corporate settings. She creates dynamic coaching and teambuilding experiences for leaders at all levels of an organization that address challenges such as organizational culture, team alignment, change management, communication and high stress. Alicia offers a unique Core Energy™ coaching approach to individuals, executives, teams and boards who are looking to achieve exceptional results.  

 

Stacie Watson, CPC, is a Certified Professional Coach, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and an owner/partner in Transformative Leadership Strategies, a firm that specializes in supporting management transformation through coaching and experiential learning.  Stacie brings three decades of experience supporting leaders in a behavioral health, Employee Assistance Programs, and medical health insurance organizations.  In her various roles, Stacie has been responsible for working with leaders and teams as they navigate significant change – focusing on issues such as organizational design, aligning culture, effective communication, and sustainable results.  She also works closely with organizations who wish to address and improve culture and employee engagement.

$20 for Non-Members

Once registered, you will receive an email from Zoe Schwartz zschwartz@ctnonprofitalliance.org on Tuesday, July 28th after 6:00pm with the Zoom link and password, as well as any materials that will be used during the training if applicable. If you have any questions prior, please reach out to Zoe at any time. 

 

Refund Policy: You may request a full refund, or request your registration be transferred to another future training, up until 2 weeks before the date of the training. Within the 2 weeks prior to the training, we cannot process refunds or offer credit toward a future training, however you may substitute another attendee in your place at any time.
