Focus on information and skills needed to establish an integrated fundraising program. Identify potential funding sources and learn how different types of fundraising fit into the “larger picture.” You’ll also explore methods for assessing an institution’s readiness; defining its case; developing resources; and establishing basic policies and procedures needed to manage a solid fundraising program.  


Fee: $70 per session or $300 for all five days.

About the Trainer:

Dr. Jonathan H. Spinner has been involved with nonprofits for 40 years in executive and fundraising positions with both small agencies and national and international organizations. He has managed capital and endowment campaigns from the micro to the monster in the United States and Canada, and has personally raised millions of dollars in face-to-face solicitations.


As President of Real Fundraising, he provides development services to clients from grant writing to major gift and endowment operations; conducts unique training programs for campaign solicitors; strategic analyses with boards of directors in a wide variety of agencies; and leads discussions with professionals in diverse areas of fundraising and not-for-profit operations. Dr. Spinner is now focusing on helping clients with new fundraising approaches using the Internet.


Jonathan is active in the fundraising community as a board member of the Connecticut Chapter of AFP and a member of the Planned Giving Group of Connecticut where he serves on the Hartford area Leave a Legacy Committee. In 2008, he chaired the AFP Connecticut Philanthropy Day Conference.  Dr. Spinner received his PhD in English Literature from Michigan State University and is a graduate of City College of New York.
